day 6: Another Walk
Two mile walk

I did nothing on October 29th. I let at least two opportunities blow by. But instead of giving up the 30 days, I am going to mark it as a strike and move on.
Today was a combo of home an the YMCA
I went to the YMCA as soons as Alan got home from work. I was on the track for 32 minutes doing the following:
I went to the YMCA after Jonathan went to bed but before I went to pick up Matt from work. Oh being a mommy!
Today I went to a spin cycling class at the YMCA today. It was good. It started 15 minutes late so I left on time.
I am facing the fact that I am overweight and need to be healthier. I actually love to exercise but typical mom find it hard too do.
I have always felt that IBM is a great place to work, especially when it comes to making people feel valued, and safe. Here is some validation from someone who has seen the opposite side of the story: Anucha Browne Sanders:
MATT LAUER: So do you think that in workplaces, businesses, corporations across America this morning, men and women are arriving at work with a changed perspective? And if you think that, how long will it last? Is this something that lasts while this story is in the headlines and then goes back into, falls back into old patterns?
Anucha Browne Sanders: Well, first, I don't believe that this happens in every environment. I think corporate America has been very progressive and I think, you know, I spent 11 years at IBM and I thought it was a fantastic work environment. And I felt like they upheld the values and the guidelines that were put in place for both women and men working in an environment.
So, but it clearly exists across industries. And it clearly existed at Madison Square Garden. So I think if anything, people are put on notice that it's, you know, there are things that are just uncalled for in the corporate space.
