Charles Bolden to head NASA

One of the best trips of our family was to the NASA facilities in Florida. Jonathan had a wonderful time. He really enjoyed the movie before the simulator. I believe that was narrated by Charles Bolden. If so I think my son has a new hero!

New Cool Role Model for Jonathan

I just saw Lisa P Jackson, the new head of the EPA, on the Daily Show. I was excited to see a female scientist in Obama's staff. Just to confirm she was a scientist I checked her wikipedia. Sure enough she has her masters in Chemical Engineering. But it gets better. She was adopted at birth.

It will be fun to watch her career and add her to Neil deGrasse Tyson as cool African American Scientists for Jonathan to look up to!
