The link above is to an article about Shani Davis being the plantiff in a suite against Chicago for unlawful search. I wonder how I would feel to be in that situation. I am already supers sensitive to people watching me and what strangers think of me. How much worse if I had justification like this.

I worry about my reaction if Jonathan goes through this. I don't think I would be very gracious if some man was searching my son by shining a flash light down the front and back of his pants. Even worse if it was because of the color of his skin.

My new Hero: Joey Cheek

Wow! What a skater, what a man. To get the gold metal in the 500 meter with .65 seconds to spare! That is good.
To then corral the reporters long enough to bring attention to the Sudan! That is amazing.

I have now made a small donation to "Right to Play" and hope to give an additional dontion to WEC, an organization that is working in Chad with refugees. I really hope that the media picks this story up!
