Race for the Cure

I will be running in the Race for the Cure on June 10th. I'm trying to decide if I should run or if I should push Jonathan. We will see how the training goes over the next month. I'm at a pretty sorry state right now and not finding the time to train.

However if you want to support me check out this site.

History certain does rhyme

Some posts from Andy Updegrove (http://www.consortiuminfo.org/standardsblog/) started me looking into the term "Big Lie". It is a very interested concept that I have been aware of but have not thought much of. The title link to wikipedia made me very nervous about our current adminstration. It has always felt like they stick to their story too well. I see so much honor and value in admitting faults and taking blame. Apparently when there is a mass population to manipulate there is little room for humility.

Thank you to our Birth Mother

We, no I, have been talking to Jonathan about his birth mother lately. We send pictures 3 times a year to the agency for his birth mother. May's pictures came out adorable and Jonathan kept asking who they were for. I told them it was for his Birth Mother and gave him her first name.
Later that day he was talking to him self and said "For my birth mommy".

Being a male, I have little hope that he will seek out his birth parents. However, with the cross culture issues it might be more of a drive for him. I personally look forward to that day, when my family and circle of friends will increase with the inclusion of the women who gave me our son.

(Oh the link is Nicole Kickman saying the same about her kids, now 11 and 13)

How do you spell work?

While in class, I had the opportunity to take Jonthan to school each morning. He often asks what I am doing, where we are going and where Daddy is. We started to talk about work. I told him that both mommy and daddy work at IBM. "Can you say I-B-M, Jonathan?". He replied "I-B-M spells Work!". There was obvious pride in his voice that he understood these letters were how you spell mommy's work!!

So cute and smart!
